That would be a ‘YES!’, Olivier Rousteing.
The Balmain designer dropped some pretty major news today by announcing that the French fashion house would be the next luxury label to collaborate with H&M.
Sharing some behind-the-scenes snaps of himself and his favourite Balmain babes Jourdan Dunn and Kendall Jenner posing ahead of last night’s Billboard Music Awards – wearing some pieces from the upcoming collection, of course – he wrote, “GETTING READY FOR #BBMA with @kendalljenner and @officialjdunn. WHAT HAPPEN IN VEGAS WILL NOT STAY IN VEGAS @billboard #imsoready #guessforwhat“.
Offering both clothing and accessories for both women and men, from what we can see Balmain x H&M will feature the label’s signature pearl and rope detailing, at a snip of the usual luxury price tag.
“I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain get a piece of the dream and create a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fuelled on a hashtag. The collaboration felt extremely natural to me: H&M is a brand that everybody connects to. It calls for unity, and I am all for it”, the designer elaborated.
The important date to mark in your calendar is November 5th, when the collection will drop online and in store. Start freaking out now.
