Just when we thought we were all out of excitement when it comes to designer collaborations – what with Cara D 4 DKNY and Alexander Wang x H&M – Adidas goes and reveals their super cool fashion love child with Mary Katrantzou.
Set to drop on November 15th, the 12-piece collection includes trainers, structured dresses and jumpers all featuring the British brand’s signature kaleidoscopic graphic prints.
Inspired by adidas’ sporty heritage, Mary paid homage to medal-winning athlete’s from the 1970s and 1980s with her bold track shoes, with the gold studs symbolising the precious metal.
The creations also boast reworked versions of the iconic adidas stripes and emblem.
Mary herself said, “I grew up, like so many kids around the world, wearing adidas sneakers and I’m really excited about bringing my vision to such a global brand. They have fantastic heritage and their ability to innovate in sportswear makes them the perfect partner for us to work with in this market.”
