The hunt for the perfect New Year’s Eve dress can be a mission but, of course, style icon Alexa Chung nailed it with a sleek and chic strappy ivory number as she rang in 2016 with celebrity pals Nick Grimshaw and Pixie Geldof.
You’d be forgiven to think that the slinky mini was gifted to the presenter by one of the many designers clamouring to dress her; and it certainly looked good enough to make us assume it cost a pretty penny.
Not so! Because the ever so fashionable Miss Chung was once again ahead of the curve by sporting up-and-coming Aussie label Réalisation Par, a new Instagram favourite with the IT crowd.
Founded only last summer by model and full-time blogger Alexandra Spencer (of 4th and Bleeker) and designer Teale Talbot, the brand focusses on individual pieces to complement your existing wardrobe rather than full collections.
Of Alexa’s Christy dress, a ’90s style mini, the duo wrote on the label’s website, “We wanted to make a dress so perfect that you don’t remember it. A dress that you could wear to breakfast and lunch and dinner. A dress you could wear on a date but also meet their parents in. Something that says everything it needs to say, without saying anything at all because the only thing they’re going to remember is how good YOU look in it.”
Even better, it retails at a relatively modest £110. Oh, and it also comes in black. Get it or regret it, ladies!
