Winter in Ibiza just hits different.
The volume of summer has been turned all the way down as islanders slowly regain the energy to get outside for a hike and reconnect with friends they haven’t seen in months. And with the colder months returns the tradition of the Sunday Roast, a British classic that has been whole-heartedly embraced by Ibiza’s cosmopolitan community.
From cosy countryside spots to hip hangouts in town where DJs soundtrack your meal from table to dance floor and seaside restaurants serving up Yorkshire puddings with a view of the waves, the Sunday Roast scene in Ibiza offers something for every mood.
Below are a few of our tried and tested favourites to enjoy a Sunday Roast in Ibiza with a generous helping of comfort, community and the finest cuts, both meaty and musical.

Vitamin Sea, Cala de Bou
Our personal favourite to hit up after a wholesome hike in Ibiza’s glorious nature, this sun-drenched eatery just a short stroll from Playa Es Pouet is 70% part of the reason why we agree to tackle the strenuous trek up Cap Nuno before our Sunday Roast reward.
Feast on a chicken, beef, pork, nut or mixed roast with all the trimmings, and choose from a variety of naughty but delicious baked cauliflower dishes topped with cheese, bacon, blue cheese or truffle.
Of course, a spicy Bloody Mary or zesty Margarita sipped alongside infectious reggae beats makes the whole shebang go down a treat – and with the generous portions starting from 21.50 € for a chicken roast and up to 26.50 € for the mixed roast – you really can’t say fairer than that!
Every Sunday before Christmas from 1pm to 5pm – bookings via @vitaminseaibiza.

The Standard, Ibiza Town
A stalwart of the the island’s winter social scene, Jo Mills’ Escucha residency returns to soundtrack your Sunday Roast in the stylish walls of Jara, The Standard Ibiza’s ground floor restaurant.
Groovy house rhythms meet gravy as you sip on expertly crafted cocktails and tuck into your favourite roast variety under the soft glow of the pink ceiling lights – then dance it all off to the irresistible beats!

Relish, San Antonio
An enduring icon of Sunday Roast culture in Ibiza, Relish was one of the first to establish the classic British tradition on the island and remains wildly popular.
Choose from one course for €24, two courses for €29 or three courses for €34 and tuck into delights such as roast rump or beef, slow roast pork belly, pan-fried chicken breast or veggie sausage and mushroom Wellington, with vegan options available.

Taberna Cebo, San Antonio
An institution just a stone’s throw from Ibiza’s West coast, Taberna Cebo is beloved by the island’s locals and British community alike for its warm welcome, generous portions and fair prices.
The Sunday Roast is no different: A proper slap-up meal with all the trimmings. We tried the special Christmas dinner turkey, which came with no less than eight sides – from Yorkshire pudding to roast potatoes and that all important stuffing – heaps of gravy, and even a surprise treat of ‘pigs in blankets’.
Fish and Chips on Fridays are also wildly popular.
A hearty plate served with a smile and in a familial atmosphere that will warm your cockles, especially if you’re missing home over the holidays!
