Bee Shaffer: ‘My mum Anna Wintour is efficient, not icy’

So far we have only been able to imagine what it would be like to be raised by one of the most powerful women in the fashion and publishing world.

We like to think that we’d have unlimited access to incredible designer clothes and hobnob with mum’s cover star friends, but we definitely wouldn’t dare to leave our room messy if it was to be inspected by Anna Wintour!

Now the American Vogue editor’s daughter Bee Shaffer has revealed what it is really like to have the woman who allegedly inspired hit novel and movie The Devil Wears Prada for a parent.

“She wants things to get done,” the entertainment journalist defended her mother’s icy reputation during an interview with Teen Vogue. “She’s a boss! It’s not bad that she asks people do things. But she came to my badminton games!”

In the video above, Bee reveals the things she learned from her editor mum, what she loved most about living in Los Angeles and why she’s “not that interested in fashion”.

That’s all!
