First look: Olivia Palermo for Ciaté

Olivia Palermo for Ciaté
Olivia Palermo’s first collection for Ciaté launches in June

You wouldn’t ever imagine Olivia Palermo without a polished manicure that compliments her impeccable outfits, so when the fashion maven was announced as a guest creative director for Ciaté in January, it seemed like a perfect match.

Now Vogue has given us a glimpse at the first of OP’s upcoming four collections which features three classic shades of red, coral and nude.

Inspired by the style icon’s memories and jet-setting lifestyle, the fire engine red ‘Hutch’ pays tribute to her mother Lynn Hutchings, who used to wear a similar shade when Olivia was growing up. The summery ‘Nantucket’ is named after one of the star’s favourite holiday destinations and coloured to show off a tan to perfection. And the delicate ‘Sundays’ is an homage to leisurely weekends spent with model husband Johannes Huebl, who captures their time together in a weekly Instagram photo series of the same name.

Olivia herself said, “I love that Ciaté is able to pioneer a new beauty trend whilst offering beautiful classic shades; I feel like I can relate to the ethos of the brand whilst putting my own stamp on the collections,” she said.”
