TEDxIbiza will return for its fourth edition on 14 March 2026 with an inspiring new focus on the role culture plays in shaping who we are, how we interrelate and how communities can respond positively to change.
This year’s theme, Thinking Cultura, reflects a growing sense that public discourse has become increasingly detached from our everyday experience, often amplifying division rather than understanding. The event hopes to provide an arena in which we can consider how creativity, expression and shared stories can help illuminate the world in which we live, and enable us to reconnect on a more human level.
The event will once again take place at the Palacio de Congresos, Santa Eulalia, on the island of Ibiza. You can read our interview with TedxIbiza founder Mia Kirn here.
A day of dialogue, creativity and cultural exchange
As part of the global TEDx movement, TEDxIbiza provides a platform for local and international voices to share ideas that resonate across an array of disciplines, including art, technology, social impact and storytelling.
The 2026 programme brings together artists, thinkers and cultural practitioners whose work examines culture as a dynamic force, one capable of shaping values, politics, identity and the ways in which we connect. With popular culture evolving at unprecedented speed, driven largely by algorithm-led digital platforms, this year’s talks invite audiences to consider how these changes are influencing public life and collective behaviour.
Across a full day of talks and performances, speakers will explore themes such as cultural memory, narrative and belonging, environmental responsibility, creative industries, technological change, and kindness as a form of social action.
Notable speakers from the TedxIbiza 2026 edition include:
Federico Buyolo – Cultural agitator and Director at Fundación Ortega-Marañón, he examines culture as a living framework of ideas that defines each era, while concurrently considering how cultural thinking can influence social and political transformation in modern Spain.
Isobel Bruce – Campaigner and storyteller, exploring how storytelling and creative communication can reshape narratives around climate, gender, and refugee rights, and help shift values at a broader, systemic level.
Maggie Civantos – Actor, director, and founder of MeP Lab, sharing her work at the intersection of artistic practice, psychology, and collective experience, and exploring culture as a source of healing and illumination.
Joshua Coombes – Author, activist, and founder of Do Something for Nothing, discussing how simple, human gestures of kindness can grow into cultural movements that rebuild empathy in an increasingly disconnected world.
Sophie Schnapp – Music and sustainability advocate, working with EarthPercent to highlight how the creative sector can play a meaningful role in driving environmental action and long-term change.
Rafael Tur – Ecological activist and water advocate, based in Ibiza, inviting a more thoughtful and collective approach to water as a shared cultural and environmental resource, grounded in local knowledge and future-focused responsibility.
Together, these speakers alongside others will offer a wide-ranging exploration of how culture informs our present moment and helps shape the societies of the future.
Performers
The talks will be interspersed with live performances from:
Toni Costa – Ibizan musician, guitarist and composer. Toni’s work bridges classical sensibility and contemporary expression, weaving English, Spanish and Eivissenc to create contemporary music.
Héctor Koa – Ibiza-born multi-instrumentalist and composer, Héctor brings a performance that effortlessly blends classical training, world instruments and electronic sounds.
