IZAKAYA Ibiza celebrates culinary cultures with immersive events and masterclasses


Known for its divinely delicious Japanese and South American fusion creations, IZAKAYA Ibiza will be bringing fascinating culinary cultures to life with a series of immersive dining experiences this summer.

The stylish restaurant, which is located within the glowing black and white walls of the Sir Joan hotel overlooking the harbour of Ibiza Town, will be combining its world class dishes and mixology concoctions with mesmerising performances, masterclasses and tasting menus to inspire all of your senses.

Diners who take their seat by the glittering, emerald green poolside this summer – or pull up a chair at the striking 360-degree bar at the heart of the venue – will enjoy a celebration of the distinctive gastronomic essences of Japan, South America and Ibiza – as well as the inimitable hospitality that venue owners The Entourage Group are renowned for.

Launching on Sunday, 25th June, A Night with the Geisha will see traditional Japanese performing artists lead guests on a sensory journey through taste, sound and sight. Shrouded in mystery and history, Geishas are an iconic component of Japanese history.

Throughout the night, diners will be treated to a decadent feast of Asian-inspired tapas while the elegant Geishas perform traditional fan dances. The culinary treats will be accompanied by Misaki tastings – a premium sake handcrafted in the blossoming foothills of Japan’s Chichibu mountains.

A Night with the Geisha takes place from 9pm with three performances throughout the evening. The event will return on Sunday, 16th July, and Saturday, 19th August

Meanwhile, on Friday, 30th June, London’s globally renowned Hoxton Spirits are popping up on IZAKAYA’s well-curated cocktail menu with four bespoke creations. Known for challenging traditional flavour combinations, the spirit pioneers present a selection of expertly crafted drinks designed to complement the vibrant aromas of the food menu.

Those who enjoy something with a little kick should try the Picate! cocktail made from tropical gin, pineapple juice, lime juice, agave syrup and a hint of chilli, while the Banana Daiquiri offers a twist on the classic summer favourite with banana-infused rum, lime and sugar.

Paying homage to IZAKAYA’s South American influence, on Saturday, 8th July, IZAKAYA will welcome the Ojo de Dios Mezcal team, who will be serving up a flavoursome selection of Latin-inspired cocktails and tasting shots fused with iconic Mezcal umami. To round off the experience, a South American culinary masterclass with elevated Latin-inspired special dishes will be prepared table-side.
