The MICHELIN Guide has long been hailed as the ultimate gourmet bible, with only the most outstanding gastronomic destinations being awarded an inclusion in its annual edition – or an even harder to come by MICHELIN Star.
For the past four years, the renowned publication has undergone an extensive refresh of their hotel selection, which now boasts over 5,000 hotel recommendations for the discerning traveller.
Visited by anonymous inspectors, the MICHELIN Guide states that properties are judged on five factors, including destination-worthy locations, architecture and interior design, service, “unique character” and value.
In April 2024, the MICHELIN Keys for Spain were announced, and we are thrilled to see one of our favourite White Island destinations gaining a distinction.
Charming boutique resort Petunia Ibiza, which wows with stunning views on Es Vedrà, three outstanding onsite restaurants, beautiful rooms and flowering gardens, has been announced as one of the latest hotels to be awarded a MICHELIN Key.
Having enjoyed a magical stay at the enchanting property on Ibiza’s sunset coast, which is part of the design-led Beaumier Group, the Tribe team can vouch for how well-deserved this hospitality honour is. Read our full review or find out more about head chef Balthasar Rigo, the man behind the delectable food offering at Petunia Ibiza.
Celebrating their MICHELIN milestone, an official social media announcement stated, “This prestigious recognition rewards the passion of our team for excellence and their daily commitment to providing you with unforgettable experiences. This reopening marks the beginning of a new chapter, that of a charming living space that reconnects with its roots and embraces its location and history.”
