They say a leopard doesn’t change its spots… And in the case of CLAP HOUSE Ibiza, we couldn’t be happier to see the island’s most glamorous poolside return, true to form, clad in Dolce & Gabbana’s iconic animal print.
If you are dreaming of hot summer days spent lazing on plush daybeds, something chilled in your hand and hypnotic beats drifting into your ear while attentive waiters bring you the most delectable treats straight to your cabana, then CLAP HOUSE Ibiza is just the ticket.
But let’s wind it back a bit…
Hidden behind inconspicuous white walls adorned with minimalist black lettering lies a lush oasis filled with fragrant pines, aromatic lavender and gnarly olive trees. At its centre awaits a lagoon-like 50-metre pool, complete with sandy shores and said to be one of the most expansive on the island. On the horizon, you can see UNESCO World Heritage site Dalt Vila reaching into the hazy summer sky.
CLAP HOUSE Ibiza’s Pool Club is open every day from 11:00 am until 08:00 pm, inviting guests who are aged 18+ to come and unwind – from tranquil mornings to leisurely lunches and groovy golden hour sessions all the way through to sunset. Day packages start from 150€ per person and include a daybed, parasol, towel and 120€ F&B credit.
Draped in Dolce & Gabbana’s world-famous leopard print, during its debut season CLAP HOUSE Ibiza dominated our Instagram feeds as fashion girlies from all over the globe captured their favourite new summer hangout in all its glory. From cabanas with flowing curtains to retro-chic parasols, inflatable donuts for the pool and even a very cool Dolce&Gabbana surfboard, it’s needless to say that the leopard-print props and scenic backdrop are an absolute dream for the ‘gram!
The gastronomy is just as fabulous: with a menu of delicious signature cocktails – including a frozen cocktail of the day, essential for the current temperatures – and light summer cuisine that ranges from delectable sushi creations to zesty ceviche, fresh salads and international favourites such as mini slider hamburgers, pizza and steak, there’s nothing left to be desired. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are all available.
When we arrived for our girly day by the pool, our plan for the day pretty much consisted of sip, dip, eat, repeat – and we were not disappointed!
With our sunbeds just steps away from the pool, we gratefully received our frozen Daiquiri – one passion fruit, one coconut flavour – and headed straight into the shallows of the pool, where miniature tables are strategically placed to put down your pool-friendly glasses safely while keeping cool in the water.
The first round of snacks arrived soon, a gorgeously plated selection of juicy Watermelon & Feta salad topped with almond, Thai basil, and pomegranate dressing, Crispy Rice squares topped with spicy salmon tartar, and crunchy Wagyu & Mushroom Gyoza with truffle teriyaki. What a start!
The second selection arriving at our table – conveniently placed directly behind our sunloungers and with a comfy sofa to sit on, almost like our own VIP corner – was no less fabulous. A Spicy Tuna roll, colourful Ceviche and Salmon Volcano roll combined the perfect combination of aromatic flavours, juxtaposing textures and a spicy kick.
Washed down with our second cocktail of the day – don’t mind if we do – real life truly felt a million miles away.
The Yuzu Highball with Yuzushu, Mezcal and soda water was the perfect choice for citrus lovers, while the Shibuya Shakedown with Volcan De Mi Tierra Tequila, yuzu, coriander, lime, honey agave, and togarashi salt packed an aromatic punch.
With the summer heat rising, we went for another dip in the pool, floating in the water and letting the stresses of everyday life wash away. Finishing our fabulous day with iced coffees and a colourful fruit platter, we didn’t want the experience to end.
