They have become famous for their luxurious, high fashion designs and we imagine many a bride would kill for the chance to wear one of the Olsen twins’ pieces on her big day.
Well, one lucky lady did! While Mary-Kate and Ashley don’t normally include bridal couture in their collections, they created a stunning white lace wedding dress and veil for their close friend Molly Fishkin.
The stylist, who grew up with the twin sisters, told Vogue.com, “They are very close friends of mine and have been for the last 15 years. The minute I got engaged, they said they would love to design my wedding dress.
“I was thrilled—their taste is impeccable, and I really trust them. Their team was so incredible and patient with me. They were always so calming and made the process incredibly enjoyable. I will never forget what they did for me.”
The proud bride accessorised her Olsen wedding gown with a pair of nude crocodile Manolo Blahnik slides.
Photographer Heather Kincaid, who shot Molly’s wedding to producer/director Asher Levin, was equally impressed by the romantic confection.
She told E! Online, “The detail of the dress was incredible. The full dress and the veil were all created of the same gorgeous lace and the construction was striking. The lining of the dress was just as lux.”
And if we’re lucky, we’ll get to see a second Olsen bridal creation before long, as Mary-Kate recently teased she would love to design her own wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to Olivier Sarkozy.
