Since arriving on the island in 2017, trailblazing Dutch hospitality experts THE ENTOURAGE GROUP have sated our cravings with their signature concepts IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar and THE BUTCHER respectively.
And as we are approaching the 2024 season, co-founder and co-owner Yossi Eliyahoo and his team are whetting our appetite with the news that they are bringing their vision of a modern steakhouse, MR PORTER, to Ibiza.
Located in the stylish space that formerly housed IZAKAYA Ibiza, right at the entrance of Marina Botafoch’s ‘golden mile’ and taking over the ground floor and terrace of the Sir Joan hotel, the MR PORTER Steakhouse, Bar & Lounge summer pop-up is set to open its doors on May 17th for the duration of summer.
Having already taken Amsterdam and Barcelona by storm, and with an opening in London later this year, MR PORTER is ready to shake up the expectations of Ibiza foodies of what a steakhouse offers. Described as pushing the boundaries between ‘dinner and sinner’, the culinary concept artfully merges a high quality dining experience with the buzz of a chic lounge.
In an interview with Tribe Magazine, last year Yossi himself told us of MR PORTER, “It’s nothing like the others out there. It’s not a New York steakhouse, it’s not a ‘manly’ steakhouse, and it has more vegetarian options than any other steakhouse in the world.
“I don’t like to have the same dishes on our menus as everybody else. When you come to IZAKAYA, THE DUCHESS or MR PORTER, you will always find something on the menu that you have never seen before. That is us. We bring something different to the table – quite literally!”
On the menu, guests will find mouth-watering treats that combine MR PORTER classics and signature dishes such as freshly baked focaccia, lady mignon, jumbo prawn salad, sirloin steak and spicy yellow tail sashimi, with new creations that include refined Mediterranean dishes, flirt with unique flavour combinations, and wow with unparalleled techniques.
The signature 360-degree bar, open kitchen and expertly chosen DJ sets all contribute to the vibrant atmosphere, and guests have the option to enjoy balmy summer nights sitting out on the terrace or lounging in a cabana by the pool. Just a stone’s throw from clubbing destinations such as the iconic Pacha Ibiza, and the cool and luxurious Club Chinois, the MR PORTER summer pop-up will undoubtedly become a hotspot for to socialise and fuel up for your nocturnal adventures.
