Lots of little girls dream of becoming a ballet dancer so it’s no surprise the stunning Ballerina Project Instagram account leaves the inner child of us in awe.
Created by photographer Dane Shitagi, the ongoing series of hauntingly beautiful images has been put together for over 14 years and features internationally renowned ballet dancers performing their moves in urban settings or magical landscapes.
Starring ballerinas from renowned dance companies such as the New York City Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet and Dresden Semperopera Ballet, the intimate portraits and action shots are described as “an etching of a ballerinas heart and emotions”.
