Katie Valentine is an undeniable force of nature.
Spending most of her 20s as a successful techno DJ on the global electronic music circuit, the charismatic Australian powerhouse was living a life that looked spectacular on social media – but deep down, hidden underneath her glamorous persona, Katie was struggling with deep insecurities and an eating disorder.
After facing her deepest fears and darkest shadows, she decided to rebuild herself from the ground up – using tools such as hypnotherapy, EFT tapping and inner child work – to name just a few. Fighting tooth and nail to make her favourite place on earth, the magical city of Barcelona, Spain, her home, she reshaped her reality time and time again to craft her personal fairytale.
Katie’s own journey of healing inspired her to help others, and so she slowly forged a new path for herself: sound healer, confidence coach and mindset mentor – oh, and she still loves to spin some tunes!
From the dreamy apartment in Barcelona to regular solo trips to Italy, with a book and TV series in the works as well as having recently signed to her dream record label, this sassy and gregarious Capricorn is not only talking the talk, but walking the walk. “Through all my personal fires,” as Katie says herself.
“So many coaches out there market themselves as having some kind of ‘secret code to the universe that you don’t have’. But the fastest way to manifest what you want is to BE YOUR TRUE AUTHENTIC SELF. What does being yourself look like?
“My most powerful manifestation of them all? Myself. I moulded, shaped, reprogrammed, and dreamed this human into being. And my physical world has finally caught up to all the internal work I have done,” she told us during a heartfelt interview that you cannot miss!
As she is about to start her signature Metamorphosis coaching programme once again, here, she shares the first steps towards becoming your most authentic self and some top tools for reshaping your own life.
- Determining your values
We ALL have a hierarchy of unique values. Mine are:
* Abundance and what that means to me (Security, finances, exercise, investing in mentors, healthy eating, a stable home, travel, new experiences)
* My Creativity (Writing, music, DJing, my business, creating hypnosis sessions)
* My relationships (Family, friends, my clients, and my lovers)
For example, I will happily drop four figures on a mentor, but if a friend wants me to stay out for a 12€ cocktail I will become slightly anxious because it’s not high on my hierarchy of values. I prefer to put that 12€ in my ‘travel’ savings jar and have an Aperol spritz on my next Amalfi trip.
I guide my clients to an ideal vision of ‘self’, a self that brings a tear to their eye, and help them determine their values from this space. They can scroll Instagram for hours, numbing themselves into a frenzy of inadequacy, but they won’t spend 15 minutes on something that lights them up or a passion project. They will spend hundreds a month on dinners and nights out, but won’t invest in a mentor who could collapse space and time, and bring them closer to themselves.

These are my biggest non-negotiables. My friends laugh at me because I will find any opportunity on trains, planes, buses, waiting for delayed flights, beach days, hair appointments – you name it – to put my headphones on, eyes closed rolling into the back of my head, reprogramming, visualising, shaping and moulding my new self into existence. - Joy and building ‘unfuckable-with’ foundations
You become unstoppable when you master yourself and work on things that others cannot take away from you – building a foundation that cannot be kicked over.
Your habits. Your mindset. Your worth. Your values. Your character.
When you know yourself, life becomes that much easier. - Accountability
Every week I have a ‘CEO’ meeting with myself to do an evaluation on all of these areas. Where am I out of alignment? What am I forcing? What is bringing me the most joy at this moment? How can I put more pleasure in my calendar?
I have all of my clients create two lists. On one side I ask them to list out everything they do in a day, and on the other side what brings them joy. When they put those two lists together it is SHOCKING. I urge everyone to do more of what brings them joy.
